Day 232

We will stay a bit far from the coast for some days, we are heading to the Blue Mountains on our way to Brisbane. If you visit this region you’ll may see the elusive platypus, and that’s what we are trying here.

The roads are so beautiful here… and full of surprises!

We find the other famous inhabitant of Australia, the echidna! However, he is a bit shy.

And huge termit mounts everywhere.

We stop at every lake we find to search for platypus but we are not lucky.

After driving the whole day around on secondary roads we end up in a nice lake near Oberon. Where I try really hard to find platypus, but they never showed up.

However my reward will be a marvelous sunset!
