Day 121_to_125

Malaysia - October 2018

Those are the views at night from our apartment:

The entry to this country could not be nicer and easier. We just needed to show our passport, that’s it.

Today we’ll visit the old city center of Kuala Lumpur, a really impressive city. But first, a quick stop to see the swimming pool on the roof… Wow, are we dreaming???? Do you remember where have we been last days/months?!?!

Afterwards we visit the Central market, Jamek Mosque on the Klang river:

Sultan Abdul Samad Building:

And the Merdeka Square:

And the apartment’s swimming pool (again)!

Next day I wake up at 7:00 to see the sunrise… what a wonderful moment!

Later when we are all ready, we go to visit Petronas (short for Petroliam Nasional Berhad), the highest twin towers in the world with its 88 floors and 452 m high. I must say that they are quite impressive:

Then we visit the surroundings:

And later in the evening Tià and I go to Chinatown. There is not a lot to see… just a bunch of fake products in a crowded market.

Next morning we’ll visit the National Mosque of Malaysia; It has a capacity for 15,000 people!!! First of all Lucy and I get a tunic to be allowed to enter. A scarf covering the hair it’s not enough.

Then, we go to the butterfly park. It is so beautiful!!! Don’t worry I will not write scientific names…

Next day it’s a BIG DAY! Bonnie is landing to the Kuala Lumpur airport! The truth is that we are eager to ride through the Malaysian roads… We cannot wait anymore!

Tià and Eloy spend the whole day just waiting, trying to figure out the paperwork (for some officers is the first time that they see a Carnet du Passage, so they don’t have a clue about what to do), and resembling the motorbikes. Finally! they are home!!

Want to play with Lego??

Next morning Tià takes the Bonnie to the Triumph workshop. It is ruled by a nice Greek guy and he takes care of the motorbike even when the workshop should be closed due to a big party with a minister.

Later we all go to visit the Batu Caves, this is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples inside. It hosts also a giant Lord Murugan statue. It’s more touristic than spiritual, but still a nice place. By the way … If you go there be aware of the monkeys! We have seen one taking a wallet!!!

Next, we head to Jalan Alor food street. It is nice and interesting to see, but again. It’s just too touristic for us, it is full of backpackers and Chinese tourists everywhere. It doesn’t seem where the locals eat street food. However, we are really happy to be here because we can see unique dishes that we haven’t seen before!
