Day 180_to_181

Singapur - December 2018

Today we’ll fly to Singapur! As we heard it is an expensive city we’ll stay there just one night, so it will be a quick visit to the city/country.

The paperwork for entering is quick and easy, we just have to get a visa on arrival. After leaving our bags at the hotel we head to the main atraction of the city. The Marina Bay Sands.

What it’s not so known is that you’ll find there “some” chinese tourists fighting for the best pic…

Next, we hang aroud the city waiting for the sunset to come. Meanwhile, this signs at the subway attract our attention. They make you think twice before doing any of this!!!

Finally the magic starts!

That’s some of what it’s inside the Marina Bay Sands:

We are superexcited to fly to Denpassar in Indonesia! We expect to dive a lot in this country and our friend Maria will come to spend Christmas with us! How amazing is that??

However, first we have a free morning to sneak a bit more around Singapur. We decide to visit Chinatown and we are delighted with it. It feels genuine!

Well thanks, that’s nice.

We walk through what some time ago were little fishermen’s buildings and stores, and now are skyscrapers, fancy restaurants and hotels for rich people.

Before leaving we want to visit a special restaurant (and affordable for us), the Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle. It’s a street food stall that in 2016 became one of the first two street food stalls in the world to be awarded a Michelin Star!!! We don’t want to miss that!

The stall serves bak chor mee (minced meat noodles), with the noodle component tossed through black vinegar, chilli paste and other ingredients… Let’s just say that it’s not for everybody. I loved it, but Tià hated it.

Afterwards we head to the airport to take our plane to Indonesia! It has some Christmas vibes!
