Day 172_to_176

Thailand - December 2018

Today we’ll ride to Pak Bara. There, is where we may catch a ferry to Koh Lipe, an island near the Malaysian border. It’s a small island and again a diving paradise!

However, first we have to arrive there so, today it will be an Highway day. Iuhu!!

After crossing the crazy traffic through the village we reach the harbour. Not sure if this bike selfie is legal…

A lady helps us to buy the boat tickets and to find somewhere to sleep and to leave Bonnie while we are on the island (they cannot carry the bike on the boat).

At night we decide to go out, and again we find ourselves in the middle of a fair! It’s nice to be the only tourists there!

By the way that’s a dancing cobra…

Next day we will catch the ferry! we are not sure how it will be, we just know that it can’t carry the bike. So, after saying goodbye to Bonnie our nice host takes us to the harbour and we have the surprise… it’s a speedboat!

We stop on a nice island on the way

As we don’t have any hotel booking, when we arrive we let a guy to show us his bungalows. As it’s good enough and just 1 minute away from the beach we take it. This island seems way better than Koh Phi Phi! at least for sure it’s less crowded.

After arranging the diving for tomorrow with the Pura Vida crew, we walk around the beach for a while.

The sunsets in South East Asia are just magic!

Christmas is in the air!

We will spend two days diving in the beautiful waters of Koh Lipe. We had here the best visibility so far. We are lucky enough to dive in Stonehenge, one of the best places here! The name comes from the hundreds of granite pinnacles protrude out of the seabed. At some point we get in the middle of a big school of yellow snappers, we where completelly surrounded!! Tià finds a cuttlefish and we are amazed with it. I hope soon We will be able to post some pics from this diving! Meanwhile more shots from the island.

NExt day we’ll seal back to Pack Bara on the speedboat again, but we have to spend the morning walking under the sun to find out from where it departs! It was not far… the harbour is the beach!

Some tourists are not happy with the infrastructure…

The views are amazing!

When we arrive to the resort where Bonnie waits us, the owner says it completely full… so, we have to stay somewhere else tonight.
